Terms and Conditions

When we receive your order, you will receive an automated e-mail reply acknowledging receipt and your order number.

You will then receive a second email confirming your order with been dispatched.

Every care has been taken by Chesneau in the preparation of the content of our website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are accurate at the time of posting the product on the website and that all products are fairly described.

All products are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as reasonably possible in the event that the goods you have ordered are unavailable. In the event that the goods are unavailable a full refund will be offered.

Shipping

1) All orders are shipped by Registered Postal Service.

2) We aim to dispatch the goods ordered by you as soon as possible after your order has been accepted by us to the postal address you have given in your order. However, we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date and your goods may take longer to be dispatched if the goods you have ordered are not in stock at the time of placing your order or they are to be dispatched to an address outside of Ireland.

3) Delivery in Ireland
Postal charges payable for larger items including handbags and briefcases dispatched in The republic of Ireland are free for an introductory period. For small items, for example ladies and men’s wallets, a postal charge applies.

4) Delivery outside Ireland
Postal charges outside of Ireland are clearly stated separately in the price quoted/charged to you. You may be subject to import taxes and additional charges for which you are solely responsible.

Returns

1) If you cancel before the dispatch of any goods your money will be refunded and the goods will not be delivered.

2) We will offer a refund or exchange on an unworn, undamaged item within 14 days of it being received by you. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card used to purchase the item(s) in accordance with these terms and conditions. You will be responsible for all return shipping costs when returning goods. We will not refund postal charges for the shipping of the item to you.

3) Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged or where a manufacturing fault occurs within six months. Please note that items damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. If you return an item because it is faulty, we will include with your refund the postage costs you were charged when purchasing the item and also the postage you paid when returning the item to us.

4) All refunds and exchanges must be arranged through this website. Please note it is not possible to return goods purchased online to our boutiques in either Dublin or Kilkenny, or receive refunds there.

5) Please indicate in your email the reason why the goods are being returned and accompany it with a copy of your receipt.

6) All items being returned in accordance with this clause must be safely and securely packaged to avoid damage in transit. We shall not accept an item for refund if it has been damaged in transit or otherwise. Please also return with original packaging and sales tag in tact.

7) We strongly recommend when returning items to us you use registered postal delivery as we are unable to refund items which are lost in the post. All goods shall remain your responsibility until we receive them.

Chesneau is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all visitors to our web site. The following policy describes how Chesneau collects, protects and uses information we receive from customers to our web site.

Customers will be given a choice when purchasing whether they would like to be on Chesneau’s mailing list, or whether they would prefer to opt-out and not receive such mailings from Chesneau – see tick box.

We may also use the information we collect during the purchasing process to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the web site, new services, and special offers we think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, or would like to opt-out of any other information request or distribution, simply reply to any Chesneau e-mail sent to you and type UNSUBSCRIBE as the subject of your reply.

Chesneau implements a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. User personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights to such systems. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information supplied by users is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and and securely stored in Chesneau's database.

Chesneau does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
